The Hugger – Experimental Design

This project delves into the emotions of loneliness and anxiety, exploring how design can evoke and address these feelings. Through multiple iterations, the first concept created a suspended bubble, symbolizing separation and isolation from the surrounding world. The second iteration introduced a vacuum bag that envelops the user, applying intense pressure and immobilizing them—inviting surrender to the experience. The Hugger blurs the line between physical and emotional boundaries, offering a provocative exploration of human vulnerability through design.
